Quick test: maybe it works already!

If you are working with Mac OS-X 10.5 or later, Windows Vista or Windows 7 or a current Linux distribution, then Tibetan should be displayed correctly:

Correct Tibetan (image) Tibetan displayed by your computer
Vajragurusample.jpg compare to: ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྂ་བཛྲ་གུ་རུ་པདྨ་སིདྡྷི་ཧཱུྂ༔

If everything works, the image on the left side above should be similar to the Tibetan text on the right side, rendered by your web browser[1].

If Tibetan still doesn't display correctly, continue to configure Firefox:

Firefox font rendering

  1. Make sure that at least one Tibetan Unicode font is installed.
  2. Start firefox and select: Preferences / Content / Fonts and Colors / Advanced
  3. Select Fonts: Other languages
  4. Set the Tibetan font for Serif, Sans-serif and Monospace.
