- If you know the definition yourself, of course you can directly add it to http://dharmadictionary.net.
Overview
Currently the best mobile devices for working Tibetan are iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, since with operating system update OS-X 4.2.1 Tibetan is fully supported: the iPhone can display Tibetan Unicode correctly and supports a Tibetan input method. For installation, follow:
- Tibetan keyboard, see: Tibetan Input Method for Apple iOS 4.2 devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch).
Virtually all apps now support Tibetan, including:
- dictionary programs (see below),
- flash card programs,
- web browser,
- editors and notes software,
- and many more...
Another good mobile device for working with Tibetan is the Nokia N900. It supports a number of Tibetan applications including:
- Free dictionary applications that work with the Rangjung Yeshe dictionary.
- Ability to install and correctly render Tibetan fonts
- Ability to browse web sites in Tibetan script
- Flashcard programs that correctly display Tibetan script
See below for installation instructions.
Additionally there is support for Android phones. However those devices are unable to correctly render Tibetan script[1] (Wylie transliteration only) and the applications required are not free.
